Our required category of Tourism & Hotel Management equips the students with the tools and knowledge to operate in the professional field. ITEM makes sure that the student graduates with the confidence and insight required to perform exceptionally well in the cut-throat environment that the professional world brings. We have designed our programs in collaboration with the industry to provide adequate and relatable training in the Tourism and Hospitality field.
Students will be trained in the areas of Front Office, Food & Beverage Services, Kitchen Management, and Travel Operation. Upon completion of the course, students can apply for a higher degree to further polish their skills.
HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT
The hospitality industry in Pakistan is set to take off in a big way. All stakeholders – the Government, the Private Sector and the huge influx of local and foreign tourists – are pinning their high hopes with the enormous tourism potential that this country possesses. The industry is therefore in dire need of trained HR in every department. However, there seems to be a huge gap between demand and supply for skilled HR in the industry. According to WTO assessment, one job out of 10 in Pakistan is in the field of tourism & hospitality sector, whereas the number of trained HR is far less than the demand. TDCP-ITHM Rawalpindi has been established exactly with this aim in mind. Successful graduates of this school are likely to find their career opportunities nationally and internationally in the different departments, such as Front Office, House Keeping, Food & Beverage Services, Human Resource Management, Travel & Tours, Food & Hospitality Consultants and other related areas. At the moment, we are offering following programmes in Tourism and Hospitality field, however, some more programmes shall be added in due course of time.
